KTLogic - What is it?

kt.jpgToday is Katie’s birthday and it seemed a fitting day to introduce KTLogic. KTlogic is a unique unfathomable special way of looking at the world. It’s not irrational or illogical, nor is it non-rational or non-logical. KTLogic has it’s own internal understanding that makes sense in a KT sort of way.

For example, when Kate was 16-ish she came home from a driving adventure with the side view mirror hanging by a wire, banging against the driver’s side door. Needless to say she was upset. She poured out her story and concluded by saying, “It wasn’t my fault. I wasn’t paying attention.” Oooooo-K. Still, it had it’s own internal sort of logic that I had yet to fathom.

KTLogic is full of made up words neologisms. And when they come along I intend to introduce them (I have learned more new terms for body parts from KTLogic then from anywhere else). And, in fact, have been encouraged in my own efforts at neologisms while making slow progress in the area of KTLogic. True neologisms emerging from KTLogic are immediately understandable – if not immediately searchable in a dictionary.

cheruble: (chair-oo-bell) having the characteristic of looking like a cherub. “That fat baby is very cheruble.”

sucksnot: (sux-not) used to express joy and/or satisfaction. “I got a Porsche for Christmas, that sucksnot.” Not to be confused with suckssnot (see below), careful pronunciation is called for.

suckssnot: (sux-snot) used to express dissatisfaction. “My brother-in-law got a Porsche for Christmas, that suckssnot.”

It is permissible to substitute sucksnot for suckssnot when in public and to close friends who will know what you are talking about anyway.

Happy Birthday Kate,
God give you joy,
God give you all joy,
Fr. Paul
